Epic

In celebration today of Martin Luther King, Jr., in Dragon’s own words (from 8th grade):

Epic

He was a great man,
and a hero to the nation.
He was a father of freedom
And helped give everyone their fair ration.
He helped African Americans with their freedom and rights.
And helped open eyes,
so they too can see the light.
He fought for things that were right
and fought his own government all the time.
But he was the winner who will always be remembered
for he was a great man
and a hero to the country.
His name was Martin
and he was known as the King,
for those things he did
to make freedom ring.
