The Dragon Kim Fellowship program awards community service grants to support motivated students that want to create and manage a program next summer that will make an impact in the community. This fellowship is in honor of Dragon Kim, a talented musician, athlete, and scholar who wanted to help others.

We launched the Music Program at OCSA. Over 60 elementary school children from the Santa Ana community, as well as 30+ OCSA high school students assisting the program, showed up for our first class.

Instructor Jeffrey de Seriere opened the class with talented OCSA students demonstrating their instruments to the elementary school kids. After their inspiring performances, our OCSA students and teachers manned an “Instrument Petting Zoo.” The room filled with a festival-like atmosphere as our new Santa Ana students went from station to station, where each child got a chance to hold the instruments, play them, and ask questions about the various instruments before making their wish list for which instrument they would like to play. Many children had never before seen a clarinet, held a viola, or heard a cello. It was a thrill to see the joy in their faces.

Thank you to all our donors who helped made this day possible.

We believe in the importance of education in broadening our understanding of the world, and deepening our compassion for those of us in it.

To that end, we’ve established several scholarships to help provide the funds to help outstanding students find and pursue their passions. Each of these scholarships are connected to institutions and experiences Dragon loved.
