Different Now

It’s nearing the end of July, drawing closer to August 14. I will never be able to think of August without trepidation again. I used to love camping.  Used to love being out in nature. I used to love Yosemite.

I used to love trees.I used to have my son, Dragon, here beside me, alive, in this world. Everything is different now.Friends ask, “How are you guys doing, now that it’s summer? Are you hanging in there?”I don’t know. As we get closer, I find that I’m at a loss for words.
